The Mitel DSP Card for EX Controller (50008234) features:
- It is a Dedicated Signal Processor card that is required power to support analog telephone lines
- It converts analog voice signals into digital packets.
- It must be installed in the expansion slot of the EX Controller chassis whenever you are using:
- Foreign Exchange Station (FXS) interface cards for connecting analog phones or fax machines
- Foreign Exchange Office (FXO) interface cards for connecting outside telephone lines
- Note: if your system only uses digital trunks (PRI) or IP/SIP you do not need the DSP card
- An integrated Ready LED that shows the current operational status of the DSP.
